Leading Teens Closer to Christ
St. Barnabas Life Teen is comprehensive Catholic youth ministry which seeks to minister to many of the needs of high school teens. Youth ministry is more than programs or events. It is “the response of the Christian community to the needs of young people, and the sharing of the unique gifts of youth with the larger community.” (Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry, USCCB, 1997, p. 1.)
We offer a variety of ways for teens to plug into their parish. Events such as Life Nights, retreats, summer activities, and outings are open to everyone in grades 9-12. Teens are welcome to bring friends who are not parishioners of St. Barnabas (they don’t even need to be Catholic as long as they are in high school).
Under the umbrella of StBLT is our Confirmation Ministry. At St. Barnabas, we generally confirm teens in 10th grade or later. Find more information on our Confirmation Ministry page.
